College is too expensive. We waste too much money while not paying professors enough and simultaneously charge students too much. That’s crazy. We need audits and innovation.
We need to radically rethink the scope, purpose, and reasoning behind out current education system. “That’s the way we’ve always done it” is a silly reason, and (spoiler alert) we beat the USSR in the space race.
Instead of making laws or suggestions about how to improve underperforming schools, most politicians should be required to spend a week assissisting in one.
Make the utilities sell power, water, internet, etc. to public schools at cost and not a penny more. Breaking even on schoolkids should just be the cost of doing business in NV.
