March for Our Lives - DC

On March 24, 2018, I was fortunate enough to travel to Washington, D.C. to be a part of the March for Our Lives protest.

There were hundreds, if not thousands, of other teachers, who like me were tired of teaching students to prepare for the worst when they deserve the best.

Families protested together - these ladies created their own mini-protest group -- Bunnies for Change

The crowd in Washington, D.C. was incredible.  There were so many people like me, hoping for change.

This was one of my protest posters.  It encapsulates the feeling of the march and my feelings on that day.

I was proud of my ability to speak my thoughts and remind the government that our schools are not war zones.
